Covey is Senior Regulatory Program Manager at Square Financial Services, a Utah Chartered FDIC-insured Industrial Bank (ILC) and wholly owned subsidiary of Block, Inc. He previously served as Senior Director and Interim Chief Compliance Officer at Green Dot Corporation as well as in other past roles of increasing compliance and operations leadership responsibility at Walmart, AAA, Apria Healthcare, and United Parcel Service. Covey earned promotion to next level leadership in four industry-leading organizations and has received multiple recognition awards for his work performance and volunteerism. He is also a United States Air Force Veteran and an alumnus of the 4450th Tactical Group, original home of the famous F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter Program.

Covey is a Member of the American and Utah Banking Associations and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. He is also a Life Member of both the Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity and Sigma Iota Epsilon National Honorary and Professional Management Society. His community involvement has included the American Heart Association, Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Toastmasters International,  The Mission Continues, and Veterati, a military member mentoring platform.

Covey received his B.S. in Business Administration from the UNLV Lee Business School and M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. In addition, he holds active Professional Certifications as a Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), and Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB).

In his spare time, Covey works to perfect his music skills as a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter and enjoys concerts, sporting events, reading, trail walking, and spending time with family. Originally from the “New River City” of Radford, VA, Covey is married to Ruth Rambo-Covey and now resides in Henderson, Nevada.
